I AM A FIRST MOTHER
I am a first mother and I am here to tell my story of adoption trauma, and to advocate for change. Since my daughter was taken from me the day after she was born, for adoption, I have endured the lifelong trauma of being a first mother. This blog is my journey to share my experiences and to create a platform for others to share their stories.
Through this blog, I hope to also raise awareness of the issues surrounding adoption trauma, forced adoption and the lack of transparency in the family courts.

I sent a message to my daughter yesterday. She doesn't connect with me but I send messages in the hope that one day she may read them. It read 'I know I'm not your mum but I know I am your mum.' To be honest I really don't know who I am in this situation. I am a living conundrum.
Writing that message prompted me to start writing this blog. Let's see where it takes us.
